Sergio grew up in Brea and his evening of meeting with Kobe Bryant was the feature story in the Newsy Susie article -Neighbors- of the Brea Progress (the weekly local paper) in the OC Register Newspaper on December 14, 06. The terrific thing about that article is that so many long lost friends read about it (or hear about it) and was able to contact Sergio and reconnect. Family and friends have always been a blessing to Sergio and to hear from old pals really put a big smile on his and face and heart. Thanks to Susan Gaede for running the article and helping to link old friends together again.

In the month of December 2006, Sergio and his story of "Never Give Up" was see in the Press Enterprise Newspaper on December 26, 06, written by Patrick O'Neal. It tell all about Sergio daily routine of pills and treatments. It also talks a little about his daughter's soccer team which he coached most of the season from his wheelchair and winning first place in the league for the 2006 season. It is a great read-
