Changes.......
A
giant THANK YOU goes out to Sergio's next door neighbor, Mike Trotter
(and his wife Lisa). Mike drives Sergio from their houses in Corona to
Brea and/or
Tustin nearly every Tuesday for Sergio's acupuncture treatments or his
appointments with Diane, his nutritionist. Some days, this is an all
morning excursion but Mike is there to help his
buddy
in any way he
can. This has been a great help to Kelly too who has to be at work and has
relied on Mike's
help with Sergio. Mike also has helped Sergio with computer issues
and checks on Sergio daily to offer his help and companionship. Mike has
an amazing outlook on life and is a true friend to Sergio (and the rest
of the De Luca families).

A
big thank you to Greg and Bonnie Yoder, Sergio's neighbors, for installing
(and paying for) a drip system for Sergio's backyard (among other
things!). If anyone knows Sergio at all, they know that he has taken
great pride in the designing and the upkeep of his yards and gardens.
The Yoder's
knew
that Sergio wishes he could tend to his garden himself and wanted to help him out by installing
the drip system along with planting lots of flowers around the house.
This has allowed Sergio to spend lots of time in his backyard- enjoying
the garden the way he always intended it to look like.
Greg and Bonnie Yoder are the owners of "Crumbles"- a cookie company. Check out their website but I warn you- Your mouth will water, you'll be pouring yourself a big glass of milk and placing your order before you know what hit you!!!

Sergio
still sees Mr. Paek weekly for his acupuncture treatments. In
February of 07, Sergio, Kelly and Sonia were honored to be invited to
Mr. Peak's wedding to his new bride Yang Hee Kim. From the moment Sergio
arrived, Mr. Paek was helping him to a good spot and
making
sure he received the special meal prepared just for Sergio. Most of the
ceremony was in Korean but we could still follow along just fine.
It was a beautiful wedding and meeting with the Paek family and the Kim
family was so wonderful. Congratulations to the new couple and thank you
for letting us be a part of your wedding memories.
Keep a look out for a future website for Mr. Jun Paek and check out what he has to offer you in the way of good health.

Sergio
is a BIG LA Laker fan- we all know that. He was given 4 tickets
to the April 07 Laker/Clippers game by good friends John and Eileen
Sanguedolce (also big Laker fans). Sergio decided to make it a real
"guys night out" and invite buddies Robert Styles, Miguel Cortez and
Chuck Catero to join him. With a little help from his pals, he managed
to get in and out of his seat without much ado. The seats were just 16
rows from the court behind the basket and the guys had a great time- it
was great fun just having a little "Guy Time". Again, Molto Grazie
to John and Eileen for their generous gift of the tickets and for caring
so much for Sergio.

Just wanted to congratulate Marla Hamilton... oh, excuse me, Dr. Marla Hamilton, Sergio's massage therepist, who recently just passed her boards and is now a practicing Chiropractor at Brea Canyon Pain and Rehab. She is still performing her famous theriputic massages (just thinking about it makes me want to call and make an appointment!) but she can now treat you as a Chiropractor too. Changes to the house are being made. Ramps that allow Sergio to use his electric wheelchair and get in and out of the house by himself are being installed by brother in law Mike and good neighbor Mike Trotter.

Sergio continues to be there at the kids soccer/volleyball/etc
games and
being a personal sideline coach to Alyssa and Frankie whenever he can.
Kelly says that it's going to be a good day if Sergio gets to see his
kids play sports of any kind.
